Background on Yegeta General Transportation Founded in 2016, and certified by the Department of Small and Local Business Development (DSLBD) as a Certified Business Enterprise (CBE), Yegeta General Transportation, Inc. (YGT) is a minority woman owned full-service ground transportation company based in the District of Columbia. The company specializes in providing quality and most efficient non-emergency medical transportation in the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area.
In October 2016, Mr. Daniel Tedeneke, engaged the Anacostia Economic Development Corporation (AEDC) to assist him in starting his business and obtaining a CBE Program Certification.
Recent Developments
Through the assistance and contact with Mrs. Yodit Shibru, DC-SBDC Business Counselor, Mr. Daniel Tedeneke was able to structure and register his business and obtained his Business License. Ms. Yodit Shibru also provided guidance and support to Mr. Daniel Tedeneke in developing a business plan, capability statement and in the preparation of his CBE application.
In March, 2017 DSLBD approved his certification and registered his business in the Certified Business Enterprise Program. The same month, Mr. Daniel Tedeneke purchased four 8 passenger mini vans.
In June, 2017 Mr. Daniel Tedeneke secured a contract with the Medical Transportation Management (MTM). To date, Yegeta General Transportation has created three (3) full time employment opportunities and retained 1 full time person.
