The DC Department on Disability Services, Rehabilitation Services Administration (DDS/RSA) will host the National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) employer recognition event on Thursday, October 29, 2019 from 9:00 am – 11:30 am. The event will take place virtually.
This year’s NDEAM theme is “Increasing Access and Opportunity.” The event will provide an outlet for businesses to learn about best practices from business partners who created opportunities for persons with disabilities. This year will have a panel of former job seekers who successfully participated in the DDS/RSA Aspiring Professionals Internship Program and a couple of the employers who hosted them and later hired them. Employer partners will also be recognized for the supports they’ve provided to DDS/RSA over the year.
